"CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IS BETTER THAN DELAYED PERFECTION"
sharing our passion for performance
Hello, my name is Zac Roberts. My lifelong passion for training began at an early age in the grungy basement gym of our house. I was fortunate to start my strength and conditioning journey early, and it quickly became a fundamental part of my life. Growing up playing sports intensified my enthusiasm and drove me to explore various facets of strength and conditioning. This deep commitment to training has shaped my understanding of human performance and continues to inspire me every day.
Throughout my diverse training career, I have cultivated a wide range of experiences. I have been a competitive high school athlete, a state record-holding powerlifter, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, a dedicated yoga instructor, and an ultramarathon runner. Each of these roles has enriched my understanding of physical fitness and discipline, showcasing my passion for a holistic approach to training.
In 2024, I launched Soma Strength and Conditioning to share my passion for fitness with others. I firmly believe that incorporating balanced fitness into one’s life can significantly impact not only personal well-being but also the lives of family, friends, and the broader community. My mission is to simplify training and make it accessible to everyone, helping individuals move better, feel better, and lead more meaningful lives.
Thank you for visiting Soma Strength and Conditioning. I look forward to accompanying you on your journey toward health, wellness, and performance.
a MORE HOLISTIC APPROACH TO TRAINING
At Soma Strength and Conditioning, our primary mission is to help you achieve a harmonious balance in your training regimen, regardless of where you are in your fitness journey. Under the expert guidance of Zac Roberts, CPT, RN, CES, PES, CNC, we possess the knowledge and experience necessary to guide you in the right direction.

What is holistic training? It involves considering all the factors that contribute to your capabilities. You may be strong, but can you move effectively? You may be able to run 20 miles, but can you maintain good body mechanics while doing so? You may be incredibly capable, but how do you treat your peers?
If you are new to training, there is no better place to start than with an integrated approach that combines all aspects of fitness into a balanced regimen.
By joining us, you'll find a nurturing and encouraging environment that empowers you to flourish and achieve sustainable results in your fitness endeavors.

Putting this foundation into place will enable you to do two things:
1. Live your life with reduced risk for injury and chronic pain.
Recognize that caring for your body offers more than just "likes" after your beach vacation. Moving without pain allows you to engage in the present moment fully. This practice fosters gratitude and helps you overcome perceived obstacles, empowering you to tackle life’s challenges with confidence. As a result, you will perform better in your job, find greater happiness at home, and feel more inclined to contribute to your community. This is the beginning of your journey toward becoming your best self.
2. Take your training in whatever direction you want to take it.
If you're an athlete or looking to elevate your training, building a strong foundation is essential. This foundation not only enhances your performance but also helps maintain your health during training. Whether you play baseball, football, or soccer, or if you're competing in powerlifting, bodybuilding, or training for a marathon, developing the attributes we've discussed will place you in a strong position for success.
Fitness is not just a six-week program or a New Year's challenge; it is a lifelong journey. There will be ups and downs along the way, but your path will always be accessible, whether you are actively pursuing it or not. No matter where you are on your personal journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
